John W. Allen has an extensive background in agriculture, working for the Texas A&M University System as a County Agriculture Agent in Val Verde County for the past 28 years. He also worked in Bandera and Edwards Counties.

John continues to remain active on several major Livestock Show committees.

John grew up in Erath County and attended Tarleton State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. John and his wife, Amy have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
