Karla Joy Guentert Pullen grew up on a ranch in Mason County, Texas. During her husband’s 20-year career with the United State Navy, they lived in California, Japan, South Carolina, Texas, and Maryland. Karla worked with real estate attorneys in three different states, first as a legal secretary and later as a paralegal, handling customers, title searches, and closings.

She has been President of the Naval Wives Club of America, President and Secretary of Menard Booster Club, President of the Menard Businesswomen’s League, Municipal Judge for the City of Menard, and President of the Board of Directors for the Menard County Hospital District. She is currently serving as Secretary on the Executive Board for the Menard chapter of Boys and Girls Club of America. She and her husband have two children and four grandchildren. Karla is the managing agent of the Cross Bar office in Menard
