Type:Ranches and Farms, Residential: Homes with Acreage
Stunning views of the Hill Country are available from all sides of this home. It sits on a high point amid some of the most beautiful acreage in the area. It has a large stock tank as well as a seasonal creek running through the property.
The home itself is a Satterwhite Log Home, built in 2007, using Engelman Spruce logs. The roof on this home is composition. The inside ceiling is Aspen, and the doors and cabinets are knotty Alder. There are 2,160 square feet under central heat and air, and outside covered porches around the home.
The inside of the home is the open design concept with three bedrooms, as well as a separate laundry room with outside access. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a gas cook-top with warming drawer, “perfect helpmate” for the chef. The counters are black galaxy granite and the kitchen sink is a divided, deep sink with a window above it so you can be distracted counting the wildlife down at the feeder. Lots of cabinetry and countertop space as well as an island with seating area.
The focal point of the living room, aside from the beautiful vaulted ceiling, is the rock fireplace with hugh mesquite wood mantle and wood burning insert with blower. On either side of the fireplace are double doors leading to the porch. These doors have blinds encased within the glass so the view is never diminished until you decide you’ve seen enough. The floors are tile throughout the main portions of the home, while the bedrooms are carpeted.
The master bedroom also has a vaulted ceiling, making the room feel very spacious. The “his” and “her” walk-in closets are on both sides of the hall leading directly to the master bath. This full bath has separate vanity areas giving each occupant “elbow room”, while still being “intimate”. The full tile shower is quite roomy but if you would rather, there is a separate tub. Unique and unexpected, both bathrooms offer a commode, a bidet and heated floors. Also unique in the master bath, are the “rain forest green” countertops.
The two remaining bedrooms are on the opposite side of the home. Each bedroom has two closets, and both are carpeted. Ceiling fans are in all bedrooms as well as the dining and living area.
Outbuildings on this property consist of a small guest cabin, 12 x 24, metal roof, with a kitchenette, one bedroom and bath. There is also a 24 x 30 metal barn. It is on a slab, fully insulated, with power. On either side of this building is an additional 12 x 30 covered slab. The building has a roll up door as well as a traditional entrance door.
Additionally on this property is a sea container and a generator. Both items will convey.
There are three wells on this property. The cabin well is 340’ deep and puts out 50gpm. On the East side, there is a 200’ well on a generator, 15gpm. The house well is 300’ deep and flows at 35gpm. One of the wells has solar capability but is currently using the generator.
Deerfeeders and blinds will convey. There is a 2 – 3 acre trap which could be plowed and used as a food plot if desired. The terrain is hilly with great habitat for deer and other wildlife. Fences are in very good shape.
This property is amazing. It is very secluded, located at the end of a private road, yet within 30 minutes of I-10. Please call us to come and take a look! You won’t be disappointed.
