This property is just perfect for someone and it’s probably YOU! There are several
choice features that make this property a standout. Let’s start with this being a brand
new home that sits at the end of the road providing privacy. It overlooks a pretty pond,
and it has pretty long range views,  In addition, there are large ranches on 3 sides.

The home has a steel frame and exterior, making it very low maintenance and highly fire
resistant.  It is a two bedroom, two bath home.  The interior is finished out nicely,  with wood-look tile flooring. It has an open

well water for the house. There is an R.O. system for pure water in the house. The
house is really well insulated with sprayed closed cell insulation throughout.
Most of the appliances and furniture will stay in the house, which was just completed on

A truly rare offering, a historic Church built by master craftsmen.  This property is available now in Brady, Tx. known throughout the state as “The Heart of Texas”.  The property has two buildings which are located on a full city block that provides frontage on four streets.

The main building has three floors.   Working our way up, the full basement level is partitioned into separate rooms allowing for assorted uses.  A full kitchen with separate work area, large dining area, and storage is its current use, but there is also a small stage with large capacity for seating directly in front of it.  On the main floor is the sanctuary, with twenty two beautiful stained glass windows.  The ceiling is solid wood with heavy beams reinforced by large iron braces.  A beautiful altar area runs the full width of the church,  and is accessed by three steps up which also run the full width of the altar.  A baptistry with entrances from both sides is located behind the altar and hidden from view by curtains when not in use.  The entire main floor is carpeted, and the wooden pews all have seat and back cushions.  A large balcony with seating overlooks the sanctuary.  The electronic equipment for videos and music is operated from this area.

Also on this main floor is the Pastor’s office, a secretary’s office, a communion room, and a meeting room with a gas fireplace.  Square footage on this ground level alone is approximately 4,320 square feet.

The second building, used as the Education building, has 7 classrooms, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, an office, and a 30 x 22 or 660 square foot meeting room.  It has about 2,890 square feet total.   Both buildings have stucco exterior and are in excellent condition.

One of the newer HVAC units still has 8 years of warranty left, and the roof on the main building is also still under warranty.  Both buildings and the grounds have received meticulous care over the years.  The grounds include a parking lot.

This church has many appealing architectural features.  It was built in 1927.  It boasts an elevator for those who may no longer care to take the stairs.  A magnificent sounding bell still sits atop the belfry.    At the front of the church is a beautiful “perfect for wedding pictures”  set of steps.  Iron railing is installed on both sides of said steps as well as railing up the middle allowing for traffic to flow up one side and down the other.  Above the wood and iron double entry doors, is a magnificent, large stained glass window.

71 Acres, San Saba County

Posted on: April 5th, 2024 by Mike Barbour

A beautiful oak and elm wooded property can now be yours.  It has been in the same family for decades and has just come on the market.  The property is in a secluded part of San Saba County, one of the prettiest counties in Texas.  With no neighbors close by, this can be an outstanding getaway place.

Post oak trees and 2 kinds of elms are the predominant trees on this place.  There are a few mesquite as well, but very limited cactus and little or no cedar. Other native species are present that make this excellent habitat for deer and other wildlife.

A  well from prior years had an electric pump in it, but it has not been in use in recent years. A power line is on the property as well, along with an old farmhouse and an old barn, which are not in good condition.

There are 2 small stock ponds which hold water seasonally.  The entire property is fenced, and has paved frontage.

Ranch in the Heart of Texas

Posted on: March 19th, 2024 by Mike Barbour

The Miller Ranch is located just outside of Brady, Texas. This is significant because
Brady is a small conservative town in a conservative area. People are generally
neighborly and there is not much crime here. There are good restaurants of several
varieties and convenient shopping as well. And Brady is known for good hunting, good
eating, and country music.
This ranch we have available is a great blend of town and country . It is in the country,
yet very convenient to town. It has newer improvements including a custom home with a
50 x 36 great room, shops, a guest house, a meeting facility with a full kitchen, and
equipment shed.
Improved genetic deer, bird hunting area, ATV and hiking roads and a salt water
swimming pool altogether make this a really nice property for recreation, relaxation and
enjoying the Hill Country. Plus, it is less than 10 minutes to Brady Lake, a 2,000 acre
bass fishing lake that is very lightly used. And its just about 45 minutes to the hottest
bass fishing lake in the country, Lake Ivie.
The Kitchen is roomy and has 2 islands with marble counters. It has a gas range and
oven, along with a convection oven and microwave. The adjacent large pantry has
ample storage capacity. The master suite is 36 feet long, and the bathroom has a
dressing area, privacy room, and large walk-in shower.
The ranch has some acreage cleared of brush and mowed around the headquarters,
while the majority of the acreage has been left natural. There are numerous live oak
trees, mesquite and native brush for deer habitat.

1017 W. 6th Street

On a beautiful large lot with dozens of mature oak trees is a classic home in Brady, Texas.  It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath, with a living room, dining room and den.  The kitchen is large and roomy.  The living room has a brick fireplace.  At the back of the house is an inviting sun room.

The lot is 1.21 acres, which is at least 4 or 5 times as large as an average city lot.  Neighboring properties have large lots or acreage; the properties across the street have frontage on Brady Creek.

Next to the house is a detached 2 car garage with a carport and a long drive for plenty of parking.  The house itself is like a blank slate, it needs work and updating.  It could be turned into a lovely home, on a beautiful lot, in a peaceful quiet community.  Come out and check it out for yourself.
